The Freedom Writers was a group of 150 students and their teacher Erin Gruwell from Wilson Classical High School. Together the group wrote a non-fiction book titled, The Freedom Writers Diary, which is based on journals that were written by the students about troubles that they have faced, are facing, or might experience in the future.
