  • The Frames are an Irish rock band who, throughout numerous lineup changes, have been mainstays of the music scene in their hometown of Dublin since the early 1990s.

In 2007, ex-band member John Carney wrote and directed the low-budget, award-winning movie Once, which starred Frames lead singer Glen Hansard as a struggling street musician. The critically acclaimed film increased the band's international profile by featuring several songs that appeared on the Frames album The Cost, including "Minds Made Up" and the Academy Award-winning "Falling Slowly."
