The Forbidden Kingdom is a martial arts film notable for its on-screen pairing of Jackie Chan and Jet Li. It is the first collaboration between the two martial arts stars. The film will be distributed by Lionsgate and The Weinstein Company in the United States. The film was shot starting in May 2007 in China's Gobi dessert and wrapped in August of the same year.
