Early Career
The Flaming Lips first burst onto the music scene with their 1993 hit song "She Don't Use Jelly" off the album Transmissions from the Satellite Heart. The success of that album earned the band an opening slot for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and led to appearances on the shows Beverly Hills 90210 and MTV's Beavis and Butthead.Re-Emergence
After six years of experimental albums and moderate success, the band hit it big again with 1999's critically praised album The Soft Bulletin. Using their newfound fame, the band released the commercially successful Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots which earned them a Grammy award for "Best Rock Instrumental Performance."Studio Albums
