The Felice Brothers are a folk country band out of upstate New York. The band formed in 2006 and include the three Felice Brothers and two friends.
History
Starting out as the entertainment for their fathers weekend barbecues, they eventually started playing in the subways under New York.While staying in an apartment in Brooklyn, they played the subway stations around 42nd street and Union Square.
Tonight at the Arizona
Their debut album Tonight at the Arizona was released through an english label named Loose Music in 2007. It is currently available as an import only and through iTunes. Heavily influenced by Bob Dylan and The Band, their song "The Ballad of Lou the Welterweight" convey those influences the most. Here is a track listing of this album.
Adventures of The Felice Brothers Vol. 1
Recorded in a chicken coup on a two-track tape, this album is only available at The Felice Brothers shows. This album features their most widely known song "Frankie's Gun". Even though it is only sold at their shows, it reached #3 on WDST's Top 25 Albums of 2007. It was beat by Bruce Springsteen and Levon Helm. A song on the album called "Ruby Mae" is about their grandpa's "old sweetheart" as the brothers like to tell it. Here is the track listing of this album.
The Felice Brothers
The Felice Brothers is the "Brick and Mortar" debut release, as the brothers tell it. It was officially released on March 4, 2008 in the United States. They recently wrapped up a tour with Bright Eyes and will be appearing June 12th at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester Tennessee. Here is the track listing for this album.
