The Fall is a fantasy movie by Tarsem, about a young girl in a hospital who befriends a movie stunt-man. The stunt-man tells the girl wild adventure stories in exchange for extra morphine that she steals for him.
The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2006, but never received US distribution. Spike Jonze and David Fincher have since picked up the film, and are planning for a 2008 release.

- Variety: The Fall Review (September 19, 2006)
- "'The Fall' is an absurdly elaborate package oblivious to the interests of any audience beyond its own wildly indulged creator. This convoluted, arbitrary, overlong whimsy will strike most grown-ups as childish, and is far too violent and pretentious for kids."
- The Hollywood Reporter: The Fall Review (September 12, 2006)
- "If any doubt remains about Tarsem Singh's interest in narrative for its own sake, "The Fall" should put it to rest: The advertising and music video vet wants nothing more from a plot than an excuse to string together luscious images."
