The Faint is an indie rock band started in Omaha, Nebraska in 2005. Though the band began as a more traditional rock band named Norman Bailer, they changed names and began creating music more heavily influenced by electronic and dance music styles on their album, Blank-Wave Arcade. This sound, sometimes called dance-punk garnered them greater media attention.
Out, and Out For Good
Conor Oberst, the singer-songwriter better known as Bright Eyes, was part of the band when they were still called Norman Bailer. Oberst left the band and tried, unsuccessfully, to rejoin later.
