  • History

The Faces came together in 1969 after the lead singer of The Small Faces, Steve Marriott, abandoned his group to form Humble Pie with Peter Frampton. The remaining Small Faces, bassist Ronnie Lane, keyboardist Ian McLagan and drummer Kenney Jones, would find more than capable replacements in guitarist Ron Wood and the charismatic vocalist Rod Stewart. The group performed together until 1975.
