• A Really Big Show

  When comedian Jack Benny asked former syndicated news columnist Ed Sullivan what he did on his show, Sullivan famously replied, "I introduce the acts." For 24 years, Sullivan introduced introduce jugglers, opera singers, ballerinas, animal acts, singers, comediennes, ventriloquists and rock stars. As the longest running variety show in the history of television, it became a Sunday night institution.
