  • The Dirty Mac is a supergroup formed for one day in October 1968 to record two songs ("Yer Blues," and "Whole Lotta Yoko") for the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus. The members of the band were John Lennon (The Beatles) on rhythm guitar, Eric Clapton (Cream) on lead guitar, Keith Richards (the Rolling Stones) on bass guitar, and Mitch Mitchell (the Jimi Hendrix Experience) on drums.
  • Career

The Dirty Mac was formed by John Lennon when he was asked to perform for the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus album and TV special. They played only two songs - "Yer Blues" from the Beatles's White Album and "Whole Lotta Yoko," featuring Yoko Ono on vocals and Ivry Gitlis on violin. Although the band is very obscure it is notable for being one of the most popular supergroups of all time because of its members' celebrity.
