  • The Dirtbombs are a Detroit-based rock band formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Mick Collins as a side project, after the demise of his legendary garage-rock band The Gories. Although the band retains the influence of garage-rock, they draw from other sources as well, including R&B, punk, glam and pop, all anchored by Collins' Jimi Hendrix-like vocals and rough, catchy guitar work, and a thunderous two-bassist, two-drummer rhythm section.
