  • The Detroit Cobras are a hard-charging garage rock band from Detroit, Michigan who perform mostly updated Motown, R&B and soul standards.

    The band released their debut, Mink Rat or Rabbit, in 1998 on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label. Their second album, Life, Love and Leaving was also released on Sympathy for the Record Industry. The band was then picked up in the UK by Rough Trade Records based on the popularity of their second album. Since 2005 the band has been signed to Bloodshot Records in the U.S.. The have released two albums on the label, Baby in 2005 and Tied & True in 2007.
