The Derek Trucks Band is an American blues-rock band, fronted by Derek Trucks of The Allman Brothers Band.
Career
When not working with The Allman Brothers Band, Trucks tours with his own band, who he has also recorded several albums with.
Trucks was praised by Rolling Stone for his "stylistic" approach with the band's 2002 album, Joyful Noise. In 2006, Songlines received heavy praise from Allmusic, which stated "the rawness, the energy, and the unpredictable musicality [of the album] are everywhere present."
The band tours frequently, either headlining or sharing the bill with the likes of Carlos Santana and other artists.
