Supernatural USA series The Dead Zone starred Anthony Michael Hall as Johnny Smith, a man who discovers he has developed psychic abilities after coming out of a coma. When he meets politician Greg Stillson (Sean Patrick Flanery), he sees that Stillson will bring about the apocalypse if left unchecked. The series was based on the Stephen King novel, which also spawned a 1983 movie directed by David Cronenberg and starring Christopher Walken. Due to decreased ratings and the Writers Guild strike, it was canceled in 2007.
