The Darjeeling Limited is a 2007 film by director Wes Anderson that follows three brothers (as played by Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman) as they set out on an adventure across India in order to see their estranged mother (Anjelica Huston). While the movie stands on its own, Anderson also produced a short film prequel called Hotel Chevalier which gives an added back story to Schwartzmann's character. Written by Anderson, Schwartzmann, and Roman Coppola, the film is a Dramatic Comedy in the same vein as many of Anderson's other movies. While the film received mixed reviews upon its released, it was considered by many critics to be a significant step forward over his previous movie, 2004's The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
