The Concretes

The Concretes are an indie pop band based in Sweden that started with three members in 1995. Since then they have grown to as many as eight members, which befits their lushly-orchestrated melodic pop sound that features slow, simple melodies and female vocals.

In 2006, founding member and lead vocalist Victoria Bergsman announced that she would be leaving the band. Since then, she started her solo project, Taken By Trees and collaborated with fellow Swedes Peter Bjorn and John on their 2006 smash single, Young Folks.
