Entre les murs, (The Class), is a 2008 film from France. The movie won the Palme D'Or for best picture at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, a Spirit Award and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film, but the Award went to The Japanese film Departures.

The Class Synopsis
The Class tells the story of Francois Marin, a teacher who struggles to provide his disaffected inner city students the best education possible. The plot reveals Francois's challenges as he faces off daily with a challenging and defiant classroom using compassion and honesty.
