The City is a reality television semi-documentary show that airs on MTV. It centers around the life of Whitney Port. Jay Lyons, Olivia Palermo, Adam Senn, Erin Lucas, and Samantha Swetra all appear on the show on a regular basis.

The City is a spin-off of MTV's The Hills. The premiere on December 29 is a double episode. In episode one, Whitney begins her job at Diane Von Furstenberg as an image coordinator. She and Jay, her musician boyfriend, argue about a dinner party she's been invited to. In the second episode, she's told that Jay may be cheating on her.
