The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is composed of two parts: a high-definition remake of Escape From Butcher Bay, which was released on the original Xbox in 2004, and the brand new Dark Athena content, which features more than 10 hours of additional gameplay, effectively qualfiying it as a sequel to Butcher Bay.The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is a first-person shooter game that focuses on stealth and combat. The game is set in the universe established in the films Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick, both starring Vin Diesel as Riddick.

Riddick Background
Richard B. Riddick, or just Riddick, is the main character in both Riddick games and the two Riddick movies, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick. Riddick is a tall and physically imposing man with superior strength and a deep baritone voice. Riddick also possesses keen powers of deduction and a strong will. Much of his power come from his Furyan heritage, a race of people who possess strength and stamina far beyond normal human capacity.Riddick has the ability to see in the dark with his surgically augmented eyes. A side-effect of his nightvision is that he is particularly sensitive to light, forcing him to wear goggles during the day.
