The Children’s Place

The Children's Place is mall based store also known as TCP. The chain of retail stores focuses on children's clothing, including accessories from newborn up to size 14 for both boys and girls. The store carries merchandise that is targeted for children's causal and play-wear for the most part. It does however, offer a few pieces of portrait type clothing for holidays and special occasions. The Children's Place was founded by a couple of Harvard MBAs as a senior business project in 1969. It fell into the hands of Robert Campeau, who's empire went into bankruptcy. Ezra Dabah, along with family members, then purchased the chain in 1989. Dabah had in the past been an executive with Gitano Group Inc. From 2004 and 2007 TCP also ran and operated Disney Stores.
