  • Background

The Byrds combined the pop sensibilities of The Beatles and the conscious folk music of early Bob Dylan to create a new genre of music known as folk rock.

They famously covered Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" and Pete Seeger's "Turn! Turn! Turn!" and wrote classics such as "Eight Miles High", ""So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star" " and "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better."
