The 2002 action-adventure movie The Bourne Identity is an adaptation of the widely popular 1980 spy thriller novel of the same name by Robert Ludlum.
Plot
Jason Bourne, played by Matt Damon, awakens after being pulled from the Mediterranean Sea to realize he has no memory of his life before that day. He knows he was in some sort of struggle as he has two bullet wounds in his back. He tries to collect clues to his identity finding a bank account number implanted in his hip, several weapons and many passports with his picture, but with different names on each one. He soon finds out that he is being chased, but does not know by whom or why and enlists Marie, played by Franka Potente, to assist as he flees from the CIA.
