The Bodyguard

The Bodyguard is a dramatic film, which stars Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner as a music star and her bodyguard. The film took many years to advance from an idea to the big screen, with Steve McQueen and Diana Ross as the proposed lead stars, as far back as 1976.

The film was produced, in part, by Costner and was released on November 25, 1992.

After a wealthy and ambitious music diva, Rachel Marron (Whitney Houston), receives a death threat from a fan, her manager hires former secret service agent, Frank Farmer (Keving Costner), to protect her. The star does not cooperate with her protector, and ends up putting herself in harm's way.
