The Block is a reality television series that showcases the lives of snowboarders. Similar in format to other reality shows, cast members live together and their lives are recorded. The roommates are picked to live in specific "The Block" hotels that are run and used snowboarders exclusively. "The Block" hotels cater to the needs of their guests. When staying in one of these hotels amenities may include rental of PlayStation games, snacks, sit-down arcade stands and even beer for guests ages 21 and up.
The second season of The Block will premiere April 20, 2008, at 5:30pm eastern time. The series will air on the G4 network. The first season took place in Lake Tahoe. This seasons cast members will live in The Block's Big Bear, California hotel. The owners of the hotel Marc Frank Montoya and Liko Smith must help keep balance between catering to their guests, keeping the roommates under control and most importantly, running a business.
