The Biggest Loser

  • The Biggest Loser is a weight-loss reality show where contestants compete to lose the most weight and be crowned the "Biggest Loser".

    The eighth season brings back fan favorite and heaviest contestant, Daniel. He continued to lose weight, after he was voted out in the seventh season, for a total loss of 142 lbs.

    The first contestant voted out, in the September 2009 series, was Alexandra White, a twenty year old from Pennsylvania. She is reportedly dating fellow contestant Antoine Dove.

  • The Premise

    The contestants work with trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper to lose weight, learn proper nutrition and how to workout. The two contestants that lose the smallest percentage of body weight, each week, are put up for elimination. The other contestants decide, between the two, who goes home. The contestant that stays in the game the longest and loses the highest percentage of body weight is awarded $250,000.

  • Shannon Thomas Arrest

    Shannon Thomas, a contestant on the 2009 Biggest Loser Couples, was charged with domestic abuse after her tenant, Michael Nolden, accused her of kicking open the door to his apartment in her basement. He alleged that she threw a bag of flour in his face. Thomas went before the judge in early January 2009 and was asked to refrain from any contact with the alleged victim, and was released on a $2,000 bond.BuddyTV: Thomas Charged... (January 8, 2009)
