March 5, 2009: An official release announced that The Beatles Rock Band will be made available worldwide for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii on September 9, 2009.
Pre-order and Limited Edition

The March 5, 2009, press release stated that a pre-order campaign will be launched over the next few months. Additional information about the "exclusive content created by Apple Corps, MTV Games and Harmonix" will be revealed in the coming months.

About the Game

The Beatles: Rock Band will be a full Rock Band title and not just an expansion or three-song DLC. Although affiliated with the established music game franchise, an MTV representative confirmed with Joystiq that The Beatles: Rock Band will be a "custom, standalone, dedictaed game experience."
In addition to the game, which can be purchased for all three consoles for $59.99, special instruments modeled after those used by the band will also be available. The game is being developed with the support and approval of the band.
