Spoiler information about season 15 of ABC's The Bachelor allows viewers to catch up on episodes which have been missed or recap previous weeks events when viewing the current status of the contestants as they interact with bachelor Brad Womack. Womack and the ladies of season 15 were introduced on the season premiere on January 3, 2011. Week five of season 15 started with Chris Harrison telling the remaining bachelorettes things were kicking up a gear as the group would be traveling.  Everyone headed to Las Vegas where they checked in to the hotel and received the first date card.  Shawntel N. was invited on a shopping trip in Sin City with Brad where she was allowed to choose whatever she wanted. She called the date her own Pretty Woman time. Shawntel N. filled Brad in about her career as an embalmer and though he seemed surprised with the information he did present her with a rose.

When the group date card arrived, neither Ashely was on the list which meant they would be going on a date together and one of them would be going home.  Because of their friendship, this created moments of tears even before the date time arrived.

Tears also occurred on the group date which took place at the NASCAR track.  When he realized Emily seemed distant, Brad stopped to talk to her about the situation with Ricky Hendrick.  She explained that he was not an active driver at the point his plane crashed because an earlierr crash at the Vegas track had ended his racing career. Emily told Brad she thought she was over it but being back at the track where he had ended his racing dream brought it all back to her.  In spite of this, Emily was able to participate and even drove a car.  She commented that she did the first two laps for Ricky and the rest for her and her future. Womack commented that he was not sure he could ever take the place of the love of her life.  Emily told him if she was not certain she was ready to move on she would not have been there.  Although the other group date participants felt he did so only because of her tragedy, Brad gave Emily Maynard the group date rose.

The third date of the episode was a two-on-one date where both Ashleys went to an Elvis show with Brad.  They originally thought that both would perform with the show but Brad sent Ashely S. home before the performance started, creating even more tears. Ashley H. received the rose to continue another week.

Ashely S. had already been eliminated while on the two-on-one date.  When the roses were handed out, the other bachelorettes headed home included Lisa Morrisey and Marissa May.  The following bachelorettes remained in the running for claiming Brad Womack's heart after episode five ended.

Episode four included individual dates for Chantal O. and Michelle and a group date for nine ladies.  The group date invitation included Lindsay, Ashley S., Ashley H., Britt, Meghan, Stacey, Alli, Lisa, and Jackie. In addition to the dates, on episode four, Michelle wakes up with a black eye.  The black eye and how she got it become a continual topic of discussion similar to her "It's my birthday" storyline in an earlier episode.

For Chantal O.'s date, Brad chose a trip to Catalina Island for a walk on the sea floor. The island romance creates fear for Chantal who is concerned with getting trapped underwater or drowning.  The pair connect afterwards in romantic moments. When Brad Womack offered Chantal O the date rose, his question was "Will you just accept the damn rose?" leading previous bachelorette Ali Fedotowski to speculate that Chantal O. will be Brad's pick in the end because he is very comfortable with her.

The group date takes place with two therapists, one of whom is Dr. Drew. The session is one where Brad wants the girls to open up and talk to him.  Discussion flows freely until Womack asks a question about whether any of the ladies have cheated in a relationship.  Only Stacey confirms she has.  After the therapy session the nine ladies and Brad spend time together at a cocktail party. During the cocktail party, Brad has a moment with Britt and is about to kiss her when he is interrupted by Ashley H. telling him she feels she is losing him. Ashley H. also later interrupts when Brad is preparing to give the date rose, prompting him to offer the rose to Britt.

Michelle's one-on-one date is delayed when Brad pulls Ashely H. aside to question her previous actions. Michelle is less than pleased over giving up her time for this.  She was also not happy with the fact her date card did not include the word love.  Michelle and Brad's date was an adventure which involved rappelling from a building. This date was publicized by ABC in the pre-season commercials with Michelle seen kissing Brad while hanging from the building. Michelle received the rose from her date also.

Before the rose ceremony, Brad pulls Emily Maynard aside for a private picnic between the two. The action creates a stir among the other ladies, leading them to speculate she is the one he will pick. After revealing her college indiscretions, Stacey Q. was one of the three ladies who did not receive a rose at the week's final ceremony. Also send home at the end of episode four were Lindsay and Meghan.

In the early moments of episode three, scenes from the evening and interview clips with the ladies showed Emily Maynard speaking of the death of her fiancee and others wondering if she would be able to tell Brad Womack about it. In one preview of the episode, Michelle mentioned her plans to be vacationing with Brad Womack in Tahiti practicing making babies. The comment was the first of many by her during the show, each discussing her plans for the two of them, or what she would like to do to the other ladies.

Chris Harrison greeted the bachelorettes by telling them the evening would include two individual dates and one group date. He told the ladies if they are chosen for an individual date they should pack their bag before the go because if they do not get a rose at the date, they go home immediately. Brad Womack was heard in a clip telling one of the bachelorettes if she did not feel right about the situation to not accept the rose.

When the first date card was read, the lady named for the date was Ashley S. and the message card said, "Let's find our love song." The two went to a recording studio to record a song. Ashley said she had never been one to sing for anyone and was scared of the possibility. Brad said he sung horribly. When the song was revealed to be Seal's "Kiss From a Rose," Ashely S. recalled sharing the song with her father, with both of them singing at the top of their lungs. It was an emotional moment because her father had a brain aneurysm and never woke up. The two shared a fun recording session, listened to Seal, and had a rooftop dinner before Brad offered Ashley a rose.

The group date included 12 women. As the date card arrived Michelle told the camera if her name was on it she would be pissed. Eleven names were read before hers but Michelle was part of the group date. Others on the date included Lindsay, Shawntel N., Alli, Britt, Kim, Sarah P., Chantel O., Ashley H.,Lisa, Stacey, and Marissa. The message on the date card said, "Love Hurts." Michelle was heard saying none of the other girls are right for him; he was all hers.

When the ladies arrived at the group date, before Brad could begin to explain explosions are heard. The group would be filming an action movie. Brad explained he wants a wife who is not afraid of getting down and dirty with him. The ladies' mission was to rescue the bachelor but there was also the alternative mission to just get some time with him.

The filming ended with Brad commenting that Shawntel N. had especially impressed him. She later received the group date rose. The group enjoyed a roof top date together. Chantal O. found the time to talk to Brad and explains that her tough girl persona comes from dealing with a realization she just needs to live for today. Her realization came when she found out her father had died just months before she located him 15 years after she last saw him. She cried her way through the story, saying she felt a ridiculous connection with him, puffy face and all.

When the third date card arrived, Emily Maynard's name was on it. The card said, "Love is intoxicating." Emily shared her story about her life with Ricky, the plane crash, and finding out she was pregnant. The ladies in the mansion worried whether she would be able to share the information with Brad. When Brad picked her up he was happy to surprise Emily with a plane trip. She was nervous because when she flew she thought about Ricky's flight never making it to destination but she would not say anything to Brad because she did nott want to seem ungrateful.

The date between Emily and Brad seemed to be distant. She felt he was putting her on the spot and he felt she was deflecting questions. Eventually she found the courage to tell the story of her one previous relationship. She was worried he would not want any part of her once he knew the whole story. When she finished telling of Ricky Hendrick's plane crash and finding out she was pregnant after his death, Emily apologized for not telling him sooner. She explained she wanted him to know her, before he knew all her other stuff. He told her he liked her even more and wanted to know more about her daughter. ABC did not show the two flying kites as seen in some photos before the episode aired but did show the pair roasting marshmallows at the end of the episode. Brad Womack gave Emily Maynard a rose during the date. 

Having one of the bachelorettes talking about going home left viewers wondering which lady it was throughout the show. As the evening of the cocktail party proceeded, Madison approached Brad to talk about how her feelings had changed and how she felt some of the ladies needed the rose. She would feel bad if she took a rose and someone who had their heart already invested did not get one. Madison spoke of Emily's tragic story and Brad felt she was not giving the two of them a chance, but rather was to focused on Brad and Emily. Brad told Madison he would like to get to know her better but if she did not think she wanted to stay she could refuse the rose.

During the rose ceremony after two roses are given, Madison left the area and Brad followed to talk to her. After a discussion where he said he likes this Madison so much more than the one he first met, Brad said he doesn’t understand her leaving before he has the chance to know her. He commended her for walking away if she didn"t feel anything but thought he was missing out on what she had to offer.

As Madison left she said she thought it sounded fabulous to meet Prince Charming but it wasn't easy like a fairy tale. She thought maybe things could have been different if she had been the real her and might wake up and wonder what she just gave up.

Other ladies who did not receive a rose and went home were Sarah P. and Kimberly Coon.

Episode two of The Bachelor included the first one-on-one dates with Brad Womack and the first passionate kiss of the season. The competition between the bachelorettes heightened with emotional exchanges between several. Ashley H. received the first date card which tells her her road to love is a wild ride. After leaving the house, the pair took a dirt road into a dark area which Ashley described as being like a horror film. Brad has her flip a switch and an entire carnival lights up, just for the two of them. They share moments running around like children and just having fun. Brad says he feels like he has the entire package in Ashley and likes her a lot. The two share a kiss. The subject turns to what they want and Ashley expresses her need for stability since she was raised without a father. Her father was an addict and homeless a lot of the time. Womack shares that his father also was gone in large spans of time so he does understand. Ashley receives the rose from her date.

Michelle makes mention of it being her 30th birthday numerous times and is not happy she has to share the date on her birthday with 14 other ladies. She is a part of the group date where Brad and the ladies film public service announcements for the Red Cross. The scenes for filming involved some of the ladies kissing Brad while others had costumes which they were unhappy with. Keltie commented her costume was from a butch rodeo.

During the filming Melissa decided to interrupt the scene and show the ladies in the scene how kissing Brad should be done. Later in a scene where Britt and Chantal O. share a three way bed scene with Brad, Michelle gets annoyed and leaves. She and Brad took time to talk later and he said he wanted to get to know her better.

At the group date on the roof top, Michelle asked Brad what his greatest fear is and he said winding up alone. Michelle gets the rose from the group date. Mellisa and Raichel argued about her actions on the date. Their arguments were seen throughout the episode.

Jackie was the second person to have a one-on-one date with Brad. Her date was a Pretty Woman date with pampering, pretty dresses, glamor and candlelight dinner. Jackie revealed she had only ever had two serious relationships in her life which scared Brad. He feels she carefully and cautiously chooses who she gets involved with and could be much like he was in his last season on the show. He expressed his concern to her but said he would take a chance on her and gave her the rose for the date. For a final portion of the date, the two were serenaded by a live performance by the band Train.

For the final evening cocktail party, Raichel and Melissa were still fighting and Melissa ended up in tears talking to Brad. Ali and Roberto, from The Bachelorette arrived to help Brad decide who was genuine and really wanted to be there for the right reason. They had a rose to be given to help Brad with his choices. Their rose was given to Emily.

During the cocktail party, Brad had time to talk to Emily and told her he really feels she is private. She said she has to take time to get to know someone before spilling everything. Earlier during the show, she talked to daughter Ricki, and revealed to viewers she has not disclosed to Brad that she has a child nor shared the story of her previous loss.

After weeks of commercial advertisements by ABC, The Bachelor started a new season on January 3, 2011. Chris Harrison recalled Brad Womack's rejection of Jenni Croft in Season 11 and then did the same for DeAnna Pappas. Womack said upon returning home to Austin, Texas, he felt like a jerk for how he handled the situation and knew he was scared to commit. After 4 to 5 months of not being able to work, Womack decided he needed to make a change. He found a therapist and analyzed why he could not commit. In his therapy, he discussed how his father being absent had an impact on his life and caused him to be a closed off individual. Womack said therapy helped him realize he will have to be vulnerable to find love. Since the time of his appearance on The Bachelor in 2007, both of his brothers have married and have children. • Shawntel from Chico, California spoke of meeting a lot of guys in her profession but they were not alive. She is a funeral director who talked about the mausoleums in Chico.
• Ashley S. from New York spokes of her father who died two years earlier. She relayed how she appreciates love much more now after losing her dad so rapidly.
• Chantal O'Brien talked about her father’s dealership and her role in the business. She divorced about a year before the show but didn’t like being single. She was with her ex-husband for 10 years and married for five of those years.
• Michelle asked her young daughter could she help her find a husband. Money says dating as a single mom was tough and she was taking part in The Bachelor for both herself and her daughter. Money says she was not there to make friends, only to find the love of her life.
• Raichel says she was a “manscaper”, doing men’s waxing. She described her best case scenario as the bachelor whispering in her ear that the other girls had nothing on her.
• Meghan, who works in fashion, compared meeting a boyfriend to shopping for shoes, saying you have to go through a lot of really ugly, cheap, cheesy ones before finding a great one. The man of her dreams would be the perfect accessory.
• Madison talked about her “vampire thing” and her pair of fangs which come out at night.
• Emily talks about being an event planner. She shared how she felt she has had an extraordinary love story before, being previously engaged to Ricky Hendrick, a NASCAR driver who died in a plane crash. Although she didn’t want to live when she learned of his death, when she found out she was pregnant, she knew she had every reason to. After more clips of the bachelorettes talking about their thoughts on the bachelor, Brad Womack was welcomed back by Chris Harrison who suggested if this season doesn’t go better than his last, Womack might have to leave the country. Brad Womack said he feels like the luckiest guy on the planet to be doing The Bachelor again. He rehashed the changes in his life and the things that he could not do on Season 11. Womack and Chris Harrison talked in detail about his life before and what he went through to get to this point.

Brad Womack offered apologies to DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft and explained how he failed miserably. The ladies advised they thought when the new bachelorettes learned Brad Womack was the bachelor, their guards would be up as they  wonder if he will do any differently. Jenni Croft said she hoped things would be different and wishes Brad Womack the best. DeAnna Pappas said she is skeptical but hopes he finds what she and Croft have found.

The arrival of the bachelorettes started after Brad Womack expressed his fear of rejection by the women. Bachelorettes arrived and greeted Womack one-by-one.

• Chantal slapped Brad Womack on behalf of all women. Womack responded saying he deserved it but he liked her even better because of it and loved her fieriness.
• Kimberly said she did watch the previous season and had questions and concerns they could discuss.
• Alli told Brad America hates him but she would give him a second chance.
• Ashley S. from NC, says she would not hate him and told him she is his girl and wants to flirt more.
• Meghan was next to meet Brad Womack, wearing a pair of pink platform shoes. She said he could make up for his previous actions this season.
• Marissa arrived next and Brad complimented her dress. She wanted to be sure he could handle being with someone whose life revolved completely around sports – Brad said they will get along fine.
• Lindsey from Dallas greeted Brad with a simple “You’re back.”
• Ashley H. said she hoped Brad was ready to answer questions over and over, but said they could just leave in the limo then so he could avoid it all.
• Raichel said he was the perfect guy for her.
• Madison said she knew nothing about him. Brad Womack liked her mysterious demeanor and she said he looked delicious.
• Melissa ran and jumped into Brad Womack's arms saying, “Catch me.”
• Cristy was greeted by Brad with him saying her smile was almost as big as his. She didn't know much about him, so she asked what would he want her to know. Womack replied saying he has changed and looked forward to explaining more.
• Jackie had Brad pinky swear he wouldn't break her heart.
• Sarah P. told Brad Womack to get down on knee, and then said,”Repeat after me . . . will you marry me?”
• Lacey asked if he was here for the right reason this time.
• Lauren said she hoped history does not repeat itself.
• Lisa P. asked for advice and Womack told her to be herself although he doesn’t think he did last time.
• Shawntel stated she thinks Brad has beautiful eyes.
• When the next bachelorette should have been exiting the limo, a hand waved from car and Britnee had him come to the car to escort her, saying she liked a chivalrous man.
• Stacey said she did not know who he was and Brad Womack replied that was great news.
• Jill greeted Brad Womack saying she was ready to get married so they should talk more.
• Lisa M.,wearing her ruby slippers, says there was no place like home.
• Rebecca said her grandma told her you have to kiss a lot of frogs before finding Prince Charming.
• J said thanks for having the party because it was her birthday.
• Keltie entered with a dance high kick, and told him she is a Radio City Rockette offering to teach him to dance.
• Sarah L. offered a random fact and informed Womack she can’t snap her fingers.
• Emily said she is excited Brad was the bachelor. He asked about her accent and said she looked perfect.
• Britt gave Brad a food gift saying way to a man’s heart was through the stomach.

As all the ladies had then been introduced, Chris Harrison returned to talk with Brad who said he he felt undeserving, but he was ready to continue.

The party starts with Brad Womack speaking of what happened in his last appearance on The Bachelor, and offers a chance for anyone who would like to leave to do so. No one chooses to leave. Various shots around the room show Renee saying she is not in the mood to have her heart broken and Keltie saying if he doesn’t choose a wife this time he will have to live in a cave.
