  • On the third episode of the 13th season of The Amazing Race, teams made their way from Fortaleza, Brazil to La Paz, Bolivia. Mark Yturralde and Bill Hahler were eliminated from the race after not following the rules in one of their clues. They were not allowed to take a taxi to the pit stop and they did, this gave them a 30 minute penalty and marked the end of their adventure in the competition.     • Nine teams remain, who will be eliminated next?
    • The competition is heating up! After finishing the last leg of the race, Christy was drying her sports-bra and it mysteriously flew off the ledge she was drying it on. Starr was the only person in the hallway, Christy confronted her and Starr denied it.
    • Ken and Tina are the first to depart, having made it first to the pit stop in the last leg of the race. They will leave at 12:51 am to catch a flight to La Paz, Bolivia. Once there, they must head downtown to a statue and find the delivery of the morning paper. They will find their next clue in print in the classified section.
    • Tina thinks they both need to work on their communication skills and learn how to talk with each other.
    • Mark and Bill are next to leave, followed by Terence and Sarah.
    • Aja and Ty leave next, followed by mother and son Toni and Dallas.
    • The first teams arrive at the airport as Nick and Starr finally leave. Kelly and Christy are on their way to the airport also.
    • Ken and Dan are next to leave.
    • Marisa and Brooke are the last to depart.
    • All teams are on a flight to La Paz. The elevation is almost 13,000 feet. Bill is worried about their endurance as he and his partner Mark are a bit out of shape.
    • Starr and Nick are the first to the cabs, followed by Mark and Bill.
    • Everyone has caught up and they are camping out at the statue waiting for the newspaper delivery.
    • Nick wants to make amends with Kelly and Christy, the girls both think Starr pushes their buttons and don't care if the other teams don't like them.
    • Sarah has found a local to help her team.
    • Newspapers have arrived!
    • Andrew and Dan are the first to find the clue. Teams must make their way to a hot shop to pick up a 'Cholito' style hat.
    • Ken, Tina, Starr and Nick are on the way to the shop.
    • Ty and Aja, Brooke and Marisa are the only ones left, they can't find the clue in the newspaper.
    • Brooke and Marisa are the last to leave on their way to find the hat shop.
    • Some are walking, others are taking cabs to find the shop. Andrew and Dan walked, they are the first to get the hat and their next clue.
    • It's a detour. Teams will choose between "Musical March" to two different plazas to collect musicians to form a band. In "Bumpy Ride" teams will ride locally crafted wooden bikes down a long bumpy cobblestone road.
    • At the end of the detour there is the first detour of the season. The first team there has the option to make any team backtrack and perform the task they did not previously choose. If they choose not to use it, the next team can use it on any team behind them. Teams can only use this power once in the entire race, strategy will be key in their gameplay.
    • Andrew and Dan choose "Musical March," followed closely by Terence and Sarah.
    • Mark and Bill choose "Bumpy Ride."
    • Marisa and Brooke are up to fourth place.
    • Terence and Sarah have a local stuffed in the cab with them when they realize they weren't allowed to take a cab to their destination. They are headed back to the plaza and will walk to their detour challenge.
    • Mark and Bill think they are doing well as they arrive first to the bikes.
    • Toni and Dallas are on their way to the bikes, but she thinks they may have been better off with the band. Dallas gives her a bit of encouragement.
    • Mark and Bill are on the bikes, you should see the helmets and gloves they have to wear! Feathers are all over them and they look like roosters! How funny!
    • The altitude is starting to affect Tina.
    • Andrew and Dan are the first to the band, they are frustrated as the members are marching very slow.
    • Marisa and Brooke are next to pick up band members.
    • Terence and Sarah are on their way down, followed by Tina and Ken.
    • Ty and Aja, Kelly and Christy are at the top of the hill starting their journey down.
    • Kelly crashed her bike into a curb!
    • Mark and Bill are doing well, they are hollering like cowboys and they go through the tunnel.
    • They choose not to U-Turn anyone.
    • Teams must make their way by taxi eight miles to Los Titanes Del Ring to find their next clue.
    • Andrew and Dan pick up more band members, still pissed because they are so slow.
    • Brooke and Marisa are dancing and talking with the band, keeping a positive attitude. They have passed Andrew and Dan.
    • Aja is having trouble with the bikes, seems the altitude is getting to her. Toni is having trouble also.
    • Marisa and Brooke, Terence and Sarah all get to the U-Turn and all decline to use it. Ken and Tina decide to follow suit and do the same.
    • Terence and Sarah are in fourth place. Marisa and Brooke are in second.
    • Aja is chanting to herself as she flies through the tunnel "I am the captain of my fate, I am the master of my soul." They easily pass Kelly and Christy.
    • Nick and Starr are worried someone has used the U-Turn on them.
    • It looks like Christy smashed into a curb and her body got thrown into the wall. Ouch.
    • Terence and Sarah are contemplating using the U-Turn on Kelly and Christy. (They are back at the crash site nursing their wounds.) He reminds her they only have one to use in the whole game, she then agrees they will not use it now.
    • Toni and Dallas are now in last place, she had a really rough time on the bike. They find a taxi just moments before Kelly and Christy, the race is on!
    • Mark and Bill's cab driver pulls in to stop for gas!
    • Tina and Ken are the first to the roadblock. One person has to wrestle the fighting cholitas, female professional wrestlers. They will be taught a wrestling routine outside. When they think they have the routine down, they will go inside and perform their routine. The referee will judge whether or not the contestant performs all six tasks in the routine. If they miss a move, they will have to go back and train before they are permitted to make another attempt.
    • Ken volunteers to fight the girls. He's dumbfounded that he has to fight a woman, but happily picks one to train with.
    • Marisa and Brooke are the second to enter the arena.
    • Ken's in a costume, this is so funny!!!
    • Mark and Bill have arrived.
    • These costumes are just too funny, they are all skin tight in places they shouldn't be.
    • Ken is the first to be trained. He enters the ring with the trumpets sounding and Tina laughing at this outfit. He completes the task with a huge smile on his face. Tina is very proud of him.
    • They are off to the pit stop at one of the highest peaks in South America.
    • Terence and Sarah find a flag, but it has nothing to do with the race.
    • Aja and Ty's cab has overheated, they loose time trying to find another one.
    • Toni and Dallas made their way back up to fourth place!
    • Terence and Sarah are at the arena.
    • Mark is the next to compete with the cholito. He fails on his first move and heads back to training.
    • Marisa is up and fighting,but she misses a move also.
    • Aja tells Kelly and Christy that Starr tried to get her and Ty to use the U-Turn on Christy and Starr.
    • Dallas is up to bat and really looks like he is enjoying this! He's the second to complete the task.
    • Sarah is next at battle, but she gets sent back also.
    • Mark is wearing out as he is getting re-trained. He's now on an oxygen mask.
    • Dan has entered the ring and is successful.
    • Nick is ready to fight, Ty is in another ring at the same time. They both win.
    • Mark is off the oxygen but not feeling well at all. He misses again. Bill is very concerned about their place in the pack.
    • Ken and Tina are the first to arrive at the pit stop. They won a seven night trip for two to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Sponsored by Travelocity of course.
    • Mark is trying again, he feels his mistakes have been corrected. Marisa is also up for her second try.
    • Marisa gets her clue, Mark gets his also!
    • Sarah is up for her next try, she is successful!
    • Kelly and Christy know they are last, they are hoping someone's taxi gets lost. Kelly gets the clue on her first try.
    • It's a cab race to the pit stop.
    • Toni and Dallas are team number two to finish.
    • Most of the cabs are passing Andrew and Dan, they got a slow driver!
    • Sarah and Terence are team number three to finish.
    • Marisa and Brooke are team number four to finish.
    • Mark and Bill realize they made a mistake in their detour, they took a taxi to the bikes and they were not allowed to do that. They believe they will be penalized with a time delay.
    • Ty and Aja are team number five to finish.
    • Nick and Starr and team number six to finish.
    • Andrew and Dan are team number seven to finish.
    • Mark and Bill are the eighth team to arrive, but will be penalized 30 minutes.
    • Kelly and Christy are on their way in the taxi. They are almost in tears as they think about their elimination.
    • Kelly and Christy are the last team to arrive and are told of the penalty. They are still in the race!
    • Mark and Bill have been eliminated from The Amazing Race. They are very disappointed to be eliminated from the game for misreading the clue, but are happy to have had the experience together.
    • On the next episode of The Amazing Race, Ty looses his cool with Aja and calls her Fidel Castro for her leadership skills and bossiness. Starr gets hurt in a challenge and believes she has a broken arm!
