  • The Abomination is a character in the Marvel Comics universe and one of The Hulk's villains. He is very similar to The Hulk in many ways; he has similar powers and a large monstrous appearance. The character has made several appearances in the comic book The Incredible Hulk, and he is a character in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk played by Tim Roth.
  • The Abomination's Origin

Emile Blonsky was a KGB agent and was part of a project to create a monster like The Hulk, but that could be controlled by the Soviet government. He was given a dose of Gamma Radiation similar to what Bruce Banner had been accidentally exposed to. The project was a partial success: though the new creature, dubbed the Abomination, was strong and durable like the Hulk, and it retained Blonksy's human mind, it could not change back to human form the way Banner seemed able to. This left Blonksy hateful and jealous, and fueled his continual attempts to kill Banner.
