• Early Thanksgiving Celebrations

  One of the earliest recorded Thanksgiving celebrations took place at Plymouth in 1621. After a bountiful harvest, the pilgrim settlers shared a Thanksgiving celebration with the neighboring Wampanoag tribe. The Wampanoag had taught the settlers how to cultivate the land.
