Tesoro Iron Dog Race

Participants in the Tesoro Iron Dog snowmobile race, the longest of its kind in the world, race 2,000 miles through the Alaska countryside.

Todd Palin, husband of Alaska Governor and John McCain's running mate in the 2008 presidential election, has participated in the Iron Dog race each year since 1993.
