Terry Labonte is a retired NASCAR driver who drove in both the Sprint Cup Series and the Nationwide Series. He also competed in three Craftsman Truck Series races in 1995, winning once. He is the older brother of current NASCAR driver Bobby Labonte.
Terry’s first NASCAR race was 1978 at the Darlington Raceway, he was 22 at the time. He finished fourth, after qualifying 19th. In 1979 he was nominated for “Rookie of the Year” after a top ten finish in the point standings, he finished second in the voting, to Dale Earnhardt.
1998 he was selected as one of NASCAR's 50 Greatest Drivers.
