    Prior to playing in the NFL, Suggs played college football with the Arizona State Sun Devils in the NCAA. He played in 36 games over three seasons, recording 44 sacks, including 24 in 2002 alone, which broke NCAA, Pac-10 and Arizona State records.   • NFL Career

    After his junior year in college, Suggs was selected 10th overall in the 2003 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He made his professional debut that same year, recording 12 sacks, which was a Ravens' record for a rookie. His performance earned him the Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2003, given by the Associated Press.
