    A new trailer came out online on March 2, 2009. The clip features Christian Bale as John Connor as he explains that the machines are winning the war and they are outnumbered by the machines. Connor and his warriors come across a man named Marcus Wright. Wright turns out to be half man, half machine. At the end of the trailer, the resistance and machines battle for survival.

    The first teaser trailer was scheduled to be shown before the theatrical premiere of The Dark Knight on July 18, 2008. However, a version appeared on the Internet, including YouTube, on July 16, 2008.
