About the Game
In 2016, Skynet artificial intelligence has declared war on mankind and is systematically exterminating every pocket of human resistance. While the humans are armed with regular weaponry, the machines have developed rudimentary plasma technology and their heavily armored machines are single-minded in their destruction.The Terminator Salvation game was developed in tandem with the film released on May 21, 2009. It stars John Connor as he leads the Resistance against Skynet's deadly machines in a stark post-apocalyptic world. He is joined in his fight by three companions, Blair Williams, Barnes and Angie Salter, who is a unique character exclusive to the game. The game is set two years before the events of the game and provides more insight into the relatsionships between John and his squadmates.
Blair accompanies John throughout the game and is an indispensable ally. Many machines have a distinct weak spot that can only be hit by distracting the enemy with flanking maneuvers and the effective use of cover. In the game's two-player local co-op mode, Blair will be controled by the second player and it will be important to strategize well together in order to take out some of the more deadly enemies.TeamXbox: Exposed: Terminator Salvation's Cover System (April 29, 2009)

Terminator Salvation Characters
- John Connor
- Trained by his mother, John is a common soldier destined to become a powerful leader in the Resistance. Although he's lost his faith and sometimes needs a little encouragement, people follow him all the same. Voiced by Gideon Emery.
- Blair Williams
- Blair is an old friend of Connor's and knows him better than most. She knows John can be a strong leader and keeps pushing him to accept the role. Blair is John's sidekick for most of the game. Voiced by Moon Bloodgood.
- Barnes
- Barnes is an ex-football player who provides the comic relief in the game. He's a tough survivor who's grown tired of hiding from the machines and is ready to take the fight to them. Voiced by hip-hop artist, Common.
- Angie Salter
- A character exclusive to the game, Angie is a former elementary school teacher who's been traumatized by the chaos around her and is barely holding it together when she meets John. She quickly becomes a devoted member of the Resistance. Voiced by Rose McGowan.
