  • About the Game

    The Terminator Salvation game is set two years before the events of the film, in 2016. Skynet artificial intelligence has decided that the planet would be better off without humans and has begun systematically exterminating any resistance. The humans are armed with modern-day weapons, while the machines have developed rudimentary plasma technology.

    Terminator Salvation was developed in conjunction with the film's production team, and the game developers had access to the same research materials. They worked hard to recreate the bleak post-apocalyptic world fans expect and studied real-world abandoned cities like Chernobyl. In addition to featuring enemies from the film, GRIN created unique machines that appear exclusively in the game.

    The game stars John Connor as he leads the Resistance against Skynet's single-minded machines. Throughout the game, he is accompanied by fellow Resistance fighter Blair Williams.

    Terminator Salvation was released for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and iPhone on May 19, 2009.
