• Teri Hatcher is an American actress that has appeared in numerous film and television roles. In 1993 she was cast as "Lois Lane" in the ABC television series Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Hatcher can currently be seen in the role of "Susan Mayer" on the popular television show Desperate Housewives.

  Gossip blogger Perez Hilton revealed on February 26, 2009 that Hatcher and co-star Eva Longoria will share a steamy kiss in an upcoming episode of Desperate Housewives. • Life, Love and Marriage

  Hatcher was born on December 8, 1964 in Palo Alto, California, she was raised in Sunnyvale, California and is an only child. Hatcher attended De Anza College in Cupertino, California. On June 4, 1988, Hatcher married Marcus Leithold. Their marriage only lasted one year. The actress married again on May 27, 1994 to actor Jon Tenney. They had a daughter together named Emerson Rose. Hatcher and Tenney divorced in March of 2003.

• Sad Youth

  In March of 2006, Hatcher revealed to Vanity Fair magazine that she was sexually molested by an uncle beginning at the early age of five. In 2002, her molester was reportedly sentenced to 14 years in prison for the more recent abuse of a 14 year old female. The 14 year old girl committed suicide as a result of the abuse. Hatcher helped prosecutors convict her uncle for the crime.

  Hatcher attended the American Conservatory Theater where she studied acting. She landed a role on Lois and Clark in 1993 where she played the character Lois Lane. In 1997, Hatcher played in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies as Paris Carver. She went on to play in the films Spy Kids, Dead in the Water, The Cool Surface, and Heaven's Prisoners. Hatcher had a recurring role on MacGyver where she portrayed the part of Penny Parker. She currently stars in the ABC television series Desperate Housewives as Susan Mayer.
