Finnish professional hockey defenseman Teppo Numminen plays for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League.

- 1985: Joined the Tappara Tampere of the SM-liiga in Finland
- 1986: Drafted 29th overall in the second round of the NHL entry draft by the former Winnipeg Jets
- 1988: Won the Silver Medal with Team Finland in the Winter Olympics
- 1988: NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets
- 1996: Relocated with the Winnipeg Jets as they became the Phoenix Coyotes
- 1998: Won the Bronze Medal with Team Finland in the Winter Olympics
- 2001: Named captain of the Phoenix Coyotes
- 2003: Traded to the Dallas Stars for Mike Sillinger
- 2005: Signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres
- 2006: Won the Silver Medal with Team Finland in the Winter Olympics
