Teeth (film)

Teeth is an independent horror film that premiered at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival. The plot involves a high school student who has teeth in her genitalia, which is a reference to an old mythological trope called "vagina dentata" that is meant to discourage sex with unfamiliar women. The film was generally well received by critics for balancing elements of drama, horror, and morbid humor. The film's star, Jess Weixler was the winner of Sundance's Special Grand Jury Prize for her performance as the lead character, Dawn.
