The first night of the 2008 Democratic National Convention on August 25, 2008, displayed a special 15-minute tribute to Senator Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, featuring a five minute video presentation from Kennedy himself, recorded at his family compound in Hyannis. Kennedy was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor earlier this year.
