Born on May 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, Ted Kaczynski graduated with a degree in mathematics from Harvard University and went on to receive his masters and PhD from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. In December of 2010, the Western Montana land formerly owned by unabomber Ted Kaczynski was put back on the market for $69, 500. The 1.4 acre land parcel was previously listed at $154, 500, and does not have running water or electricity. Background
As a child, Kaczynski scored 170 on an IQ test. He skipped two grades in high school, graduating at 16 and was immediately accepted into Harvard. After two years of teaching in California, he moved to the wilderness of Montana and began to live "off the grid." While in Montana, he wrote his manifesto. In it, he foretold of the dangers of technology and the death of a lifestyle that he felt was the correct way of life.
