TechCrunch50 is an annual conference put on by the technology blog TechCrunch and Jason Calacanis (CEO of Mahalo). The event will feature 50 startups demoing their product in the hopes of receiving the $50,000 cash prize.
On September 10, 2008, Yammer was announced as the top startup company of the conference and winner of the $50,000 grand prize. Five other companies were named as the conference's jury selections: Atmosphir, Fitbit, GoodGuide, Grockit and Swype. Sponsor Thomson Reuters selected Quant the News' StockMood as their favorite news enterprise.
