The Swedish national ice hockey team, also known as Tre Kronor or three crowns, represents Sweden in international ice hockey competitions. Sweden sent a team of 23 players to compete in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, 18 of which play in the National Hockey League and four from the Detroit Red Wings alone.http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=511196
The Swedish hockey team has seen much success including winning the gold medal in the 2006 and 1994 Winter Olympics.
