Tazz is a semi-retired professional wrestler and a lead announcer for Extreme Championship Wrestling under World Wrestling Entertainment.
Originally debuting as Tazmaniac in ECW before it was owned by WWE in 1993, Tazz won the ECW Tag Team Championship with Kevin Sullivan. After recovering from a real-life neck injury that put him out of action for a while, Tazz won the ECW Championship from Shane Douglas in 1999.
At the 2000 Royal Rumble, Tazz beat then-undefeated Kurt Angle via submission in his WWE debut. He later won the WWE Hardcore Championship on three occasions, and then the WWE Tag Team Championship with Spike Dudley in 2001 before retiring to the commentator's table.
