Background
Wildlife officials say such coyote attacks on humans are not common. One wildlife biologist speculated that the coyotes might have attacked Mitchell thinking she was a deer or other prey. Cape Bretons Highlands National Park's superintendent did say there had been reports of "aggressive animals" in the park.http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/2009/10/29/2009-10-29_coyotes_kill_musician_taylor_mitchell_while_hiking_in_cape_breton_highlands_nati.html
