The Tata Nano was unveiled in India on January 10, 2008, at the Auto Expo. Initially the cost of the car was set at $2,000. The Nano is manufactured by Tata Motors, which also owns the Range Rover and Jaguar.
Tata Motors is one of 111 automotive teams who made the first cut to be able to race in the Progressive Automotive X Prize.
