Jackson started for the Vikings on December 14, 2008, in place of Gus Frerotte, who is sidelined with a lower-back injury. Jackson started the first two games of the 2008 season as well. Tarvaris Jackson was drafted with the 64th overall pick in 2006 by the Vikings. During his rookie season, Jackson played in only four games.
