Former talk show host Montel Williams married Tara Fowler in Bermuda on Saturday, October 6, 2007. They met in Florida when Tara was a flight attendant for American Airlines but she resigned from her job soon after they started dating. Montel proposed very publicly to Tara in front of family and friends in July 2006 at The Inn on The Green in Manhattan. The day before the wedding, the generous couple invited all their wedding guests to join them on a cruise around Bermuda on a 100 foot yacht, followed by a cocktail hour on the beach before the wedding ceremony.

Montels' success as a talk show host follows a distinguished career in the U.S. Marines, he reached the rank of Lieutenant Commander and acquired ten medals during his twelve years in the service.
