Tapatio Hot Sauce

Tapatio is a popular hot sauce founded by Jose-Luis Saavedra Sr. in Maywood, California in the year 1971. Tapatio is considered by many to add heat along with flavor to most Mexican dishes.

Tapatio hot sauce is available in five, ten, and thirty two ounce bottles. An economy sized one gallon container is also available. For people on the go, 7 gram packets of Tapatio are available at select fast food restaurants. • Red Peppers

• Salt

• Garlic

• Spices

• Acetic Acid

• Xanthan Gum

• Water

• Sodium Benzoate (as preservative)

1. Pour a pint of sour cream into a medium sized bowl.
2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
3. Mix the ingredients together.
4. Slowly add Tapatio until you get to the desired spiciness.
5. Chill and enjoy!
