Tangena Hussain

Two-year-old Tangena Hussain vanished from the Detroit, Michigan, area in October 2008. She was last seen on October 2, 2008, at a gas station with her mother's boyfriend, Jamrul Hussain. Jamrul Hussain is not related to the toddler.

Hussain was arrested four days after Tangena went missing on charges unrelated to the child's disappearance. He claims Tangena disappeared while he was inside the gas station paying for purchases. Jamrul Hussain is the boyfriend of Tangena Hussain's mother, Nilufa Begum. While Jamrul Hussain and Tangena Hussain share the same last name, the two are not related. Days after the toddler vanished, a 15-year-old girl came forward claiming Jamrul Hussain had kidnapped and sexually molested her in February 2008. Hussain was arrested and charged with having sex with a minor. In January 2009, Hussain was awaiting trial on those charges.
